You guys really understood the original play and converted into the modern form. Everyone stayed in character really well for the most part. It seemed pretty well rehearsed. Everyone owned their characters pretty well, but they oculd have known their lines and positions better. At times the dialogue distracted the group and they got out of character for a second, but most of the time they did good. This group had a great modernization! The...Group 3<br />This group had a great modernization! The vocabulary was thoughtful and everyone remained in character the whole time. It was clear that they took this entire project very seriously. I really liked that they had the names of the characters on their nametags both from the modernization and the originals from the play so that we’d know who is who. It was also nice that they actually got ‘off the stage’ when their characters were not in the scene. I liked how this group actually had stage directions and acted out what was going on in the script rather than simply reading it. The acting actually wasn’t bad! The overall performance was a little lackluster. There was little to no enthusiasm. Also, it was a little confusing when people acted out two different parts right after another without changing their position or voice. On the other hand, the group's translation of each line was really good. For example, Cassie's description of Tyler (Tartuffe) made perfect sense to both the original play and to their interpretaion.
