This aerial shot of Kandahar city, is a grim reminder of the war that broke out in Afghanistan. This picture also represents the poverty and how quiet and dessert like these surrounding are. There is no one out on the streets which shows that it is very dangerous out there. Ever since the war broke out Afghanistan has been deeply succeeding to poverty and other financial problems. People have to sweat in their huts all day in the blazing heat, because it is too dangerous to be out side. All in all this city in Afghanistan is a grim reminder of the war and how war can bring great poverty.

During the Festival of San Fermin, there was a killing of a Bull. The tall, brave French Matador Sebastian Castella killed a fighting bull during a Spain festivities. He gave a wave with his bloody hand after the killing. This was a great event put on by the male reveller, who was putting on a show. This was put on during the Corrida in Spain.

The KFC building in tegucigalpa was destroyed by a gernade. The bomb squad had to come to the damaged building to see if it was safe. The windows were all broken and the glass was shattered everywhere. Most of the glass went on the green grass.

A man riding a bicycle ends up getting shot from a riot in Urumqi, Xinjiang. There is a political protest there and the cops shoot people that are protesters. It was a very bloody and gory mess. The man was wearing a red tee shirt, and blue jeans. He has blackish brownish hair. He fell flat on the ground. He had brown dress shoes on. There was blood everywhere on the ground, on him and even on his bicycle. Maybe, just maybe he had a loving family and probably a real good job. He could have had kids too.

Maurizio Cattelan is a well known Italian artist, in this photograph there are various shapes and colors of glass boxes. The room is a very spacious place complete with brick walls and a brown horse with a black tail coming out of the upper left side of the brick wall. Underneath the horse ther e are blocks cut into the brick walls. There are no bricks in the cut out block spaces in the wall. There is a man in a black tuxedo staring towards the colored glass boxes. Next to him there is a green painting and a stairwell with glass sides instead of railings. The room has chestnut brown wooden beams on the ceiling. As for the lighting in the room it is extremely bright there are lights all over the wooden ceiling beams. There are other surrounding artwork pieces, so this scene definitely must take place in a museum.

There is constant violence in many parts of the world. There is a protest gone out of control in Honduras. Poeple are rioting on the streets and advocating violence. They are fighting and throwing rocks at the po lice in an outrage.the police are tying to fight back against the protesters by beating the crap out of them with sticks and shocking them with tazers. There are about 300 protesters. The goverment should focus more on preventing protests in the world.

There is a Honduran man wearing a yellow stripped shirt and blue jeans and appears to be running away from the police. The policeman who is chasing after him is holding a large black pole, trying to hit the man with it. In the background, there is a blue car and man sitting on the ground next to the car wearing a green hat, black shirt and jeans, he is surrounded by police. One policeman is kneeling on the ground next to the man with the green hat; this police man is wearing a blue helmet. The other policeman who is standing in front of the guy on the ground looks like he is whacking him with a whit pole that looks sharpened at the end. There is also a yellow awning in the background that says, “Motos de trabajo”.

1.The article Police: Four boys sexually assaulted 8-year-old girl by Monica Trevino is about 4 boys all 14 and younger charged with sexually assaulting an 8 year old girl. All the boys were charged with this. But what I found disturbing is that the 14 year old boy was charged as an adult. Which in my option is very outrageous. The boys lured this poor girl in to a storage shed where they offered her chewing gum. Then she was held down and sexually assaulted by these boys. What I also find disturbing is that how racist and bleak they were to say that the boys were all immigrants of the west African nation of Libra. All in all this was a wrong thing to do to the girl, but they were very mean and racist in this article.

This picture brings me into a world of thought. Most people grow up in their own little “comfort zones”. Looking at this picture I feel how big the world actually is, and how much more there is on the world. People feel the world is huge, but looking at this picture you think, the universe is huge and goes on forever. Then it makes me think , how far does the unverse go on for? What else is on our planet that we haven’t seen yet?
When I think of the universe, I think of a vast darkness full of empty planets that we cant even reach. But looking at this picture I see that its not all dark, the sun in the distance lights Earth. It makes me really excited to get out of my little comfort zone to go and actually venture around to see how big the world actually is.

People In the Indian city of Agra had witnessed a spectacular sight on July 22, 2009: a solar eclipse. The top part of the sun had been invisible to the naked eye; and the Taj Mahal had appeared as a silhouette, as the partially blocked sun had been setting behind this world-famous Indian landmark. Complimenting the solar eclipse was a beautiful sunset, which was rich in yellow and orange hues apparent in several cloud layers. The gorgeous sunset and the historic solar eclipse made for an event that people who witnessed it will surely never forget.

The men that have already crossed are leaving to attack the people of Honduras.Cars are driving in the street behind the crawling soldiers. The beach is an extrodanry place to relax and enjoy a beautiful scene. When you’re at the beach you can lounge in the sand and look out into the ocean. While looking out you see clear blue water forming waves that are coming towards the shore line. Once the waves reashes the shore line they crash against the sand, forming foam.

Not only will you see the water forming waves but while lounging in the sand and looking out at the ocean you see a house in the distance. The house is small and brown. Not only is there a small house but there is a medium size house off to your right. The medium size house is also brown like the one in the far distance. However, there are strips of rocks in front of the medium size house.

Other than the ocean the sky is another beautiful scene. When at the beach and you’re laying down all you’ll see is a nice blue sky. In the sky there are a few groups of white puffy clouds. This scene is so peaceful that everything on you mind will just disapair.

If you’re enjoying a beautiful summer day at the beach look around you. The sceneary will most likely be beautiful. The water and sky will look so peaceful. Also look arounf you might see other things like boats, houses, or even a lighthouse.

“Mexican immigration to U.S. off 40 percent, study finds”by Mariano Castillo is about how many Mexicans have entered the United States. Forty percent of the Mexican population has jumped the border to enter the United States. Over one million Mexicans have gone into the United States beginning in 2006.
If more Mexicans jump the border every year soon there will be no room in the United States anymore. “The economic downturn has certainly affected work opportunities for immigrants in the United States,” said Alfredo Reyes. “An estimated 433,000 Mexican migrants” returned back to Mexico between 2008 and 2009 because of the economy. Three years before 2008 and 2009 479,000 Mexicans returned back to their home land. Most people say that after studying Mexican immigration more of the Mexicans return to Mexico than the amount of Mexicans who stay in the United States. Most of the Mexicans that spend all that trouble returning to Mexico: why should they go there? Instead of Mexicans waiting years of their life trying to make a life in the United States, why don’t they just stay in Mexico and have a good life?I think that it is really stupid to leave their own country to make a life that is not your type of living when you barely speak the language or don’t know it at all.
Mexicans or other people from Mexico should not go over the border to the United States. life is bad for the people who have lived in the United staes there whole lives and are american, imagine how bad life will be for the mexicans when they try to start a new life. Mexicans should all just stay in mexico they can come to visit the United States but they should not attempt to live there for there whole lives.

The article “Trooper Suspended 5 Days for Scuffle with a Paramedic” by CNN's Mayra Cuevas-Nazario discusses an Oklahoma trooper who was suspended because of a fight with a paramedic. The trooper acted inappropriately and should have been suspended for at least a week instead of just five days. There are two reasons of why this was a ridiculous situation discussed in the article.

The first reason is that the trooper should have been suspended for at least a week. This is because the trooper “failed to recognize that it would have been more reasonable and appropriate to immediately allow the ambulance to continue to the hospital once he understood there was a patient onboard the ambulance.” That is according to Highway patrol captain Chris West. As a young American citizen, I belive that the Trooper's punishment should have been much more severe. The punishment length was not at all right and should be changed.

The second reason of why this was a ridiculous statement is because the trooper is an authority figure and shouldn't have acted like he did. According to the article, the trooper “decided that pulling over a Creek Nation ambulence for a traffic stop violation would be the perfect opportunity for him to berate the parmedic.” He also hadn't know that there was a paitent inside the ambulence with family following close behind. This was unacceptable behavior for a trooper. This should have deserved at least a week of punishment.

The trooper had acted very wrongly and deserved a much more harsher punishment. He is an authoriyt figure and isn't supposed to act this way. Before stopping the ambulence, the trooper should have made sure that there wasn't a paitent in the back. Instead, he did the wrong thing by stopping and not checking the ambulence. Five days was clearly not the right punishment. The trooper should be upset and ashamed of himself for doing this. -Amelia Maloney

The article “MySpace murder?” produced by WRAL reports reveals that 20 year old Nicole Alloway was talking to a guy who was 18 years old over MySpace for a few months. They had planned to meet each other. She was left on a bus and never seen alive again. Before she had gone to go meet the guy that she was talking to she had told her mother that she was really nervous to go and that she did not think that it was a very good idea and her mother also told her to stay home. Nicole did not listen and now she has not been seen alive by her family since the night that she left. Teenagers such as myself have used MySpace before and realize that it can be negative and positive. In this case, obviously, we have seen the negative aspect of MySpace people pretend to be somebody their not. Who knows if Nicole even actually met this guy? What if he was really a middle aged rapist? The focus of MySpace is to keep kids “connected” to their friends and maybe even family. I have never had a negative experience with MySpace but after watching “Dateline” I have never wanted to use it again. Teenagers under the age of 18 should not be able to use MySpace because they are not “legal adults”. Young kids are getting lied to and being taken advantage of through MySpace.
People are using it as a dating site and that is not what the purpose of it even is, how would you feel if you heard that your child was going somewhere to meet some random person that they met on MySpace? You wouldn’t be too thrilled would you? No because of the fact you could lose someone very close to you sometimes parents do not even know that their child has a MySpace. If a parent does not know that how can they help? Then once the parents hear their kid’s name on the news then they have to deal with that guilt for the rest of their lives and it hurts, and it is a very scary thing to be facing. Someone in my family has said that they were going to be meeting someone they met on MySpace. But luckily their parent caught them before they could actually go somewhere and thank god that they were caught because if not that family member who means a real lot to me could have been on the news and I would not want that to occur. MySpace leads to numerous deaths. According to Scott Granneman, “Folks, we are in the midst of a mass hysteria. The media has found the latest way to drive readers and ratings: the good ol’ fashioned gumbo stew of children and teens, sexuality, murder and death, new technology, and fear. Lots and lots of fear. Fear that freaks out parents and those in authority and leads to bad decisions made in the name of security.”

Depression and fear. The cold, dry, golden wall falls behind a scared young girl. Filled with anxiety and her last breath, the young girl awaits her death. A crimson shawl sparkles before the ancient walls. The young girl, scared and alone with the thought of her parents and the rest of her family dead and gone forever. She awaits the footsteps of her killer. The young Afgani clokes her entire body with her red burqa. This color can easliy be seen infront of the the cold, dry, golden walls behind her. She stops, thinks…then hides.

As the soft skin of a beautiful couple touches each other on a calm evening: a slightly shallow moon is starting to rise up into the violet/purple sky where a gloomy almost camouflaged cloud starts to go by. The moon has a light sort of vanila color and shaped like an egg or large oval sitting diagonally behind the couple's boat just before it is about rise up into the night sky. A small camouflaged sailboat is sailing by the couple as they enjoy their boat ride across the light blue, calm, sea. The man tries to plant a kiss upon a light brown almost tan or baige woman's body; with dark red lipstick on her still, unexpressioned, lips. The handsome man is wearing a dark purple dress shirt and dark black denim pants. The woman is wearing a white, one-pieced, lightly gray-shaded, at the bottom of a ruffled, dress that only covers her lower biceps and the rest of her body all of the way down to her knees.

A young man,
Shocked,
Dead,
Blood,
Violence,
Sad,
Dark,
Innocent man,
Good start…how about:
Motionless, he lays dead, blood staining the red bricks below, after being bombed by riots in Urumqi. In the dark, he lays with blood flowing around him, wearing a red t-shirt, and blue jeans, with his bike near him. He was an innocent man, with a family. At night he was on his bike following the riots in Urumqi, and sadly he was bombed. The riots in Urumqi bombed others too. The Innocent man’s family was very shocked, and disappointed in what had happened. There were a lot of dead people. It was very sad for the innocent man’s family to receive the sad news about his death.

The cool breakers push swiftly toward the majectic rocks, their crystal rivulets gently flooding the weathered stone. As the heavenly sky opens upon the sea, the sun shines against the glories rolling waves, as the smell of ocean quickly rushes to you. It brings back the memories of when you were little and you parent s brounght you to the beach for the first time. You walk along the beach and try not to fall because the of the slippery rocks undernieth your feet put you off balance. “Hopefully you I don’t fall into water.” You think to yourself, but you wouldn’t mind that day because its so hot out, anything would help cool you off. But it’s a beautiful day today, you’ve finally got to spend time with your family after years of not seeing them. It seems like the most you’ve had for a while now and wish it would last just a little bit longer.
