Here's a concept for you to chew on. While there is some doubt about who Shakespeare actually was, there is little doubt that the same person wrote all of Shakespeare's works. No matter what, that is an incredible achievement.
Shakespeare's use on language, as many of you note, was also remarkable. There are a lot of words he coined. He also was able to use words in unique ways. How many of you would be brave enough to use "uncle" as a verb?
Also important about Shakespeare is that once you get past the language, and you will, his work is accessible to everyone because it talks about things we all can relate to: jealousy, love, death,revenge, ambition, good and evil. Who doesn't have a need to examine these things?
His plays are vital and alive. Also, when you look at his sonnets, bear in mind that this is a person who could discuss love, destiny, anxiety, mortality, etc, in complete forms in just 140 syllables. Not bad for a dead white guy.

I "studied" in my eyes, the beauty of the human figure, and body language and how in a simple painting on a canvas so much can be said through the body, and how it is held.
