Click here to visit Stephen Wiltshire's website. Mr. Wiltshire is an artistic savant who is capable of reproducing incredibly detailed landscapes from memory. 1. On the left, click on "My Videos". Watch at least four of the videos and offer a commentary for each.
2. Visit his "Gallery" and browse through his work. Identify his most impressive drawing and his most impressive painting; offer explanation for each.

The most impressive drawing is the one of Big Ben. I like it because of the view you get from it. I also like it because it shows how big it actually is when you see the size of the light pole.

I think the most impressive drawing is the one of Sydney. He draws the picture over 3 days from memory and it is so huge and detailed.

The most impressive drawing is the St Pauls and London Skyline at Night. I like how it's all put together and shows how London is at night. The colors come togetherto make it a whole.

I am innocent (home video)-
I found it odd how when he went straight into the drawing after preparation , if I needed to draw something like that I would have no clue where to even start.

Sydney - 3 days in 3 minutes-
It was interesting how he has all of these people watching him and yet he just chills there and listens to his music and only interacts when interacted with. I understand this is his autism but even so he is the center of attention which usually makes them uncomfortable.

Boston Tea Party-
I find it interesting how his favorite drawing is the one of Times Square, and how he likes how it is detailed. I like how he has his sister focus on the costs and stuff because then he is able to focus on his artwork. I also find it amazing how shortly he looked at that picture and just drew it, very detailed and accurately.

Boy Who Draws Buildings-
I find i amazing how he can even draw a scene such as he was looking at with the boat moving and capture the motion or at least imply it in his work. As well as he can draw buildings he manages to capture the subtleties of the natural aspects of the landscape.

Drawings/Paintings

Manhattan Skyline from top of Empire State- oil on canvas-
I saw a comment on the side and they said how amazing this picture is so I wanted to see it and was completely amazed when i reached the near photographic painting. It has every element to make you believe that it is an exact reflection of the place. The shading and colors are just breathtakingly real.

Taxi and cobbled alley or the Albert Bridge-
I like the taxi and cobbled alley because of the intense contrast between the dark alley and then it elaborately arches into a bright street with the taxi. The Albert Bridge is amazing because of the blunt coloring of the trees as it seems to be in Autumn, and the lines collide in a different way with the sky, bridge, roadway and light poles.

I think "Electric City, Tokyo" is the best painting. I love the details and color, it really conveys the brightness of the busy city life in Tokyo. The best drawing is "View of City of London from the Monument" because of the perspective and detail. The specific details that make each building unique make this drawing so interesting.

I watched one of his New York city videos and 3 others. I think It is amazing how he can reconstruct a city so quickly with every detail like in the "3 days in 3 minutes" video. Also, I think his Jerusalem panorama is great because of all the houses in in and how everything isn't recognizable buildings. It must have been super hard to do. This guy is truly amazing

3 Days in 3 Minutes - This was a great video. The fact he can create something like that in such a short period of time really stuns me.

Madrid Panorama - Once again, incredible. I've seen him on the news before now that I think about it. I don't understand how he can draw from memory, because I know I can't draw something if I don't have some sort of refrence.

Boston Tea Party - once again, great work and memory. Still, he's got a lot of talent, if he can do it.

Rome Panorama - I don't know how he does it but he does it. It's very accurate even in his style.

My favorite piece though the River of Thames with Tower Bridge. I loved how he add just a little bit of color, and kept everything else in black and white. His Style is a bit sketch like, but it works with the piece.

I thought "River Thames with Tower Bridge " was the most impressive. i liked how there is suck a large background and things are shown so far away, but the brigde way far back is the same height as the light pole, it think it subtly shows how enormous the brindge is.

I liked "Big Ben on a rainy evening" and "Venice"

The "Big Ben on a rainy evening" was intriguing to me because it captured the reflection of the Big Ben on the ground [assuming it was wet, this reflection was captured with mastered results]

"Venice" was very dark and calm; although it was mostly black and white, it was not boring [more importantly, it was not overwhelming despite being a heavily inked piece.

I give "Venice" bonus points for being physically dark and mentally calming.
